Meet the Team
Meet Mold Dog, Chica Bella and handler, Rachel! Rachel has a background in chemistry, personal experience with water damaged homes, and CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome). Chica was trained as a Mold Dog by Mold Dog trainer and handler, Bill Whitstine.
OUR STORY
This business was born out of our personal experience and struggle. I (Rachel) have been struggling with CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome)/mold illness/biotoxin illness since 2017; however, I was more recently diagnosed in 2023 after we purchased a moldy home. Over the past two years, we have been working to remediate our home and heal from CIRS. An inspection by a Mold Dog was one of the final pieces of the puzzle in getting our home clean. This has birthed a passion for helping people who are struggling with illness related to mold and mysterious mold problems in their homes. We believe we are called to use our struggle to help others. We believe this is an opportunity to see a horrible experience be used for good. We would love to share more of our story and experience with you. If you are looking for a Mold Inspection service familiar with CIRS, you have come to the right place! We understand there is more to a medically important remediation than simply removing the mold. However, every successful medically important remediation starts with removing the source of the mold. This is where Chica comes in. She cannot detect micotoxins or determine whether you have finished your fine particle cleaning, but she can detect if you have any additional sources of mold growth in your home that may be keeping you from passing your final air sample testing and HERTSMI-2/ERMI testing.
